CLARISONIC Mia and Etude House' BAKING POWDER Cleansing Foam Moist
Reminiscing the first time I used Clarisonic Mia, I was using Tea Tree Facial Wash by Super Drug, my face feels cool, light, and clean like it really takes away all the residues. But that was the first time. The next day I used it, it made me break out, and the next day, and the next after that. My hope was already fading.
Two months forward, while visiting my dermatologist she was really praising Etude House's products. She said it's cheap, effective, and so on. She recommended their Baking Soda Cleansing Foam Moist to me. 'Meron ako dito ngayon, try mo' (I have one right now, try it). I was not feeling this baking powder on a facial wash. If not for my dermatologist, I will never try it. My mind has a bias for tea tree, oil control, and oil-free.
My Clarisonic Mia has been snoozing for 2 months when Etude's baking powder graced our restroom sink. Since I have a new facial wash, instinct told me that it's time for my Clarisonic to do some oscillation.
I Like it Because:
I Like it Because:
- The formulation is creamy, so when I put it on the brush head of Clarisonic the foundation is solid.
- I only needed a pea size, and it goes a long way.
- Foamy
- The scent is powdery (baking soda perhaps!) citrus.
- It doesn't break me out during my period (except when stressed)
Clarisonic Mia Kit |
Clarisonic Cleanser. Included in the Package. |
Clarisonic Mia with Baking Powder of Etude House, worked for me. I haven't experienced major pimple breakouts since I used it.
Why Use Clarisonic?
- Clarisonic is a powerful cleansing tool. Their claim: "Cleanses 6x better than with your hands alone in just 60 seconds'.
- Their claim: "Gentle enough to use twice a day".
- Their claim: "Prepares skin for better absorption of creams, serums, and moisturizers". Yes, it does.
Clarisonic handle is safe to use even when you're in the shower. It's waterproof. Just don't use it when you are charging.
*When You Use Clarisonic Mia:
- First wet your skin and the brush head with warm water (I don't do that because it's very laborious, I only use tap water)
- You can put the cleanser's formula on your face or the brush head (I put mine on the brush head).
- Gently move the brush using a small circular motion, starting on your forehead (20 secs.) then your nose/chin (20 secs.), and the cheeks (10 secs. per cheek). It automatically stops after a minute of use.
*Tips:
- Don't press too hard on your face or it will impede the motion and reduce effectiveness.
- Change the brush head every 3-4 months for best cleansing results.
*How to Clean the Brush Head
- First push it down then twist right to remove the brush head.
- Soak it with warm soapy water.
Do this once a week.
This is how it looks like when you remove the brush head |
Charging
Clarisonic Mia is rechargeable (so as the other models). The charger is simple to use, it is magnetic.
No need to worry about the charger because it is a *universal voltage charger.
When charging Clarisonic Mia you need at least 18-20 hours to fully charge it (that is when you use it for 18-20 minutes. 18-20 uses). NEVER charge your mia when wet. You need to pat it dry if it needs charging.
There is a LED located at the back of Mia and it becomes visible when:
- you pause it. You pause it by simply pressing the on and off button. To continue press it again. &
- the Plink charger is attached to the handle. It lights solid yellow-green when fully charged.
Price
A staggering US$119.
